Selling products online? Make sure you are PCI compliant

Did you know that Intuit provides all QuickBooks Enterprise users a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) service at no charge? Yes, at no charge even if you are not using Intuit Merchant Services.

What’s the big deal?

As online sales increase, the risk of fraud happening goes up when you don’t know the people you are dealing with.

The PCI DSS helps merchants protect customer account data. You are responsible for protecting card information and complying with the PCI DSS. Failure to comply could result in costly fines, audit costs, restrictions or worse should a breach occur.

PCI DSS Compliance is an ongoing process. To avoid a breach, credit card processing data is not stored in any manner that can be accessed. All organizations, regardless of size or number of transactions, that process, store, or transmit cardholder data must comply with PCI DSS. See more information here.
